- 1 large green bell pepper (diced)
- 2 jalapeños (deseeded and diced, *optional)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced or crushed)
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 1/2 tsp. ground cumin (more to taste)
- 1 tsp. smoked paprika
- 1 tsp. dried oregano
- 1 1/2 cups vegetable broth (low sodium)
- 28 oz. fire roasted tomatoes (canned, crushed or finely chopped)
- 3 Tbsp. cornmeal (*optional - see note)
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar (sub molasses, more to taste)
- 2 Tbsp. tamari (low sodium, sub soy sauce)
- 1 Tbsp. cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- 15 oz. black beans (canned. Drained and rinsed)
- 15 oz. kidney beans (canned. Drained and rinsed)

amazing dish.
i didn't have the fire roasted tomatoes but had a can of diced and used soy sauce. it worked really well. the tofu was really good too.
this will now be one of our go to dishes.

Made and it is delicious. i accidentally got soft tofu but it still worked, i tossed it a bit on a pan and added soy sauce and added it to the rest and still worked👍 recommend.
