I have made these several times and I absolutely love them. I don’t add any red pepper flakes, but I do like to add some black pepper when eating them (personal preference, I love pepper) I definitely recommend giving it a try! I find it works well with regular green beans, if your market doesn’t have French/haricot. I have used both and both are good.

Great! I used regular green beans (that's all my local store had at the time) and cooked for a few extra minutes. Will definitely make these again!
