It was good but the instructions were a little confusing. it called for brown sugar twice but didn't say which amount to put in which step. When i set aside the 0.5 cup for the crust I didnt have much left so I kinda had to modify to make more.

Pretty easy to make I would recommend using more for the crumble on top bc we didn't have enough. We also used a bigger pan with half strawberries and half blueberry

Really good! I only have a blender (not food processor) so I thought they'd turn out bad but they were great. They were a bit soft. I replaced butter with earth balance. It was fine. So good!

Made these over the weekend to have for the week. They are amazing and super easy to make. They would be good with any fruit. My son said it tasted like something you would buy. Mine actually made bars and were not to soft. You could eat them with a fork or my son eat it in the car on his way to work. Although he did say his fingers got a bit sticky.
Thanks for the recipe!!

As a busy working parent I'm always on the hunt for a good breakfast recipe that we can grab and eat in the car. I was really hopeful that this would make it into our regular rotation, but it just isn't going to cut it.
The first issue is that it did not make bars. It was entirely too soft and crumbled with every bite, or touch... pretty much if you looked at it wrong it would shed crumbs. This is not going to work in the car. Not even a little. *Maybe* with some tweaking I can get this recipe to stay more bar like after it is cut up. I didn't particularly love the flavor though. It was good, not great, and not worth the experimentation that would be required to make it really work as a breakfast bar.
I would consider this more of a dessert recipe... it had enough sugar and a nice crumbly texture, without being overpoweringly sweet. IF you follow the recommendations of making one 9" square pan = 16 servings I would also consider it relatively healthy. Realistically I think most people are going to turn this into a 9 serving dish though.
