Made this on low for 10-11 hrs and it turned out absolutely delicious! I did add a packet of Lipton onion soup and instead of beef broth I used a can of onion soup and instead of salt I used celery and celery salt. Does look like a lot of onions but that is what gives it flavor. When it was finished cooking, I mixed 3 tsp of corn starch to 3 tsp of cold water, then added it to the pot and cooked it for another 20 or 30 minutes for the broth to thicken into a gravy and it turned out just perfect melt in your mouth pot roast.

My husband said it tasted great and it was easy to make. i put all the ingredients in the crockpot went to work and ready for dinner when i got off.

Simple and easy. Meat was so tender. One piece of advice, put way more beef broth as the beef not simmering in broth was dry. Next time I am covering everything in beef broth

Simply easy to make. Great taste. I’ve already had another request to make it again.

It’s a good base for a recipe. It needed a lot of tweaks. I used an entire can of broth and with a smaller roast. It could of used more. I used a 2.75lb roast and cooked on high for 3 hours. Waaaay too long. I used Monterey seasoning and didn’t do enough (my bad). The potatoes and carrots were cooked through though! 👍🏻

Made it with corn bread, black eyed peas, and some collard greens. Nummy.

Not a good recipe. 1/2 cup of beef broth is not NEARLY enough. Absolutely no flavor either. I had to add a lot more seasoning (Cajun gave it a good kick). As for the broth, after 8 hours the beef was still tough with just the 1/2 cup of broth so I added enough to cover all the meat (nearly 3/4 the container of broth. I essentially had to make this into a stew to save it. Do not recommend.

I added more seasoning to put more flavour. it was pretty good; my hubby really liked it!

Tasted amazing! My new husband (recently married) loved the potatoes and carrots especially. Might add more seasonings to the meat next time though.

I used a 2.5 pound chuck roast on low for about 7 hours. Tender and juicy! I also seasoned with Montreal steak seasoning, Worcestershire sauce, and a dash of liquid smoke.

Quick and easy. Use 2.5 lbs of chuck roast.

Classic. Easy. Delicious. What’s not to like? The only that I changed was I used more broth and added fresh herbs. Everyone loved it.

I add a little more of the broth to it to make it more moist, and i add more carrots and potatoes to it as well. I use this recipe often though. It is great.

Very good recipe, turned out delicious! I cooked it on high for 5 hours then turned it on low for one hour. I was worried about the lack of seasoning so I added the whole can of broth and even added a packet of beef ramen at the last hour. 2 onions ended up being a lot but they tasted amazing. I used two 2 pound pot roast because I couldn't find a 4 pound one and it still turned out great. 5/5

I made this and it turned out great. A few adjustments... more salt & pepper... added Worcestershire sauce... and added 3-4 cups of broth.
I used the leftover liquids (after cooking) to make wild rice. Super tasty. (Left liquids to put over the roast.)

It turned out okay. However, it was a little dry and somewhat plain. Would definitely make it again though and add some more seasoning/spices.

came out okay, was a little dry but it was good. will definitely try again

It turned out very nice. I used smaller portions because I have a baby Crock. I used red potatoes and baby carrots because it's what I already had.

This turned out delicious

Used a 2.75lb roast instead of 4lbs. used Russets and baby carrots. Should have peeled the potatoes instead of leaving the skin on. Cooked on Low for 5.5 hours, then High for the remaining 2.5 hours. Perfect tenderness for 9 month-old baby to munch on!

Turned out great! I did make a few adjustments- I seared the meat with a bit of garlic and onions first, then put it on high for 6.5 hours and then the veggies (added them after 3 hours). I didn’t have beef broth so used 2 beef bullion cubes and added 2 cups of water, and added some more spices. My husband loved it. Turned out tender and flavorful. Will definitely make this again

By itself I would give a 4. I put in 2 cups of beef broth, a packet of onion soup mix, and a pack of pork gravy mix. I cooked on high for 6 hours. It was delicious and super juicy.

Seared the beef with onions and garlic first then drizzled some Worcestershire sauce! Turned out great!

Wonderful, old fashioned pot roast like mon used to make. I substituted meat that I had in the freezer - chuck steaks - and it was delicious.

I used a cup of beef broth instead of half a cup and the meat and veggies turn out lovely! Would definitely make this again

Very easy. Good flavor. Left mine in a little too long and it was dry, but I’ll definitely try it again!
