I followed the recipe except for substituting turmeric for saffron. I had planned to eat as a side dish to chicken and shrimp kebabs. We will be eating leftovers tomorrow!

Great! I added some lemon pepper because I cannot follow a recipe perfectly. But the texture was the best of any pilaf I’ve made. Season to taste and you’ll be great!
