I’m a sucker for all things oatmeal and this didn’t disappoint. As usual I messed with the sugar using 1/2 a cup of brown, 1/2 cup of white, 1/2 cup of coconut sugar,and 1/2 cup of unsweetened applesauce. I also added an extra 3 tablespoons of butter to make up for the lack of brown sugar and to add back some moisture. The next time I’ll try cutting back even a little more on the sugar since it was plenty sweet. I prefer it a little less sweet, but it was very popular as is.
