This is the fourth time I have made this. I use 1.7lb of ground turkey, 1 egg yolk, 1 cup Panko bread crumbs, 3 cloves garlic minced, 1/2 onion chopped, 3 tablespoons each of ketchup and Worcestershire sauce, 2 tsp dried mustard, 2 teaspoons garlic powder and likely about 1 teaspoon salt and 1/2 teaspoons ground pepper and 1/3 package of dried brown gravy.
For the sauce, I sautéed 1/2 onion sliced thin and rings cut into quarters, 3 cloves minced garlic then add 1pound portobello mushrooms sliced thin. I add a bit of olive oil and 1/3-1/2c red wine , let the wine reduce, add about 1 teaspoon each salt and pepper and 2tsp garlic powder. Then 2 tsp mustard powder, 2 tablespoons each worcestshire sauce and ketchup, about 2 cups beef broth, the rest of the brown gravy packet and 2 tablespoons flour then let it simmer while whisking. Once it thickens, add the Pattie’s back in and simmer for 20+ minutes. I hope this helps someone!

We had never made Salisbury steak at home before, so when we saw Ree make this on TV we had to try it. My husband has made this several times and it is AMAZING!

Delicious! My only complaint is that the recipe link doesnt have amounts of any of the ingredients. For instance, it says add "a little" of this or that. I had to keep going back to the app to see the amounts to use. The only thing I will do differently is double the gravy but I will definitely put this in our rotation.

This recipe is going in my recipe book. I don't review recipes often, so you know when i do, that the recipe has to be good. I absolutely love this Salisbury Steak, it is so so good. I shared it with family and friends and they think it is the best Salisbury Steak that they have had as well. I didn't change a thing. The Pioneer Woman says it is optional to use seasoning sauce and cornstarch, I used both I felt that it made it richer and thickened the sauce. If I didn't use these two optional items I think the base or gravy would have been too watery for my likening. Try it you won't be disappointed.
