An old-world spin on a pigs in a blanket recipe. Add some mozzarella and marinara sauce for dipping to get this perfect snack.

- 1 pkg. Hillshire Farm® Lit'l Smokies Smoked Sausage
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls (8 ounces each)
- 4 oz. sliced provolone cheese (cut into ½” x 2” strips)
- Italian seasoning
- pizza sauce (Prepared, or marinara sauce)

Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Cut a thin slit partially through each sausage. Place 1 cheese strip inside slit of each sausage.
- Separate each can of crescent rolls into 8 triangles. Cut each triangle into 3 smaller triangles. Place filled sausage on wide end of triangle and roll towards point. Place wrapped sausage, point side down, on large baking sheet. Repeat with remaining sausages. Sprinkle Italian seasoning over wraps.
- Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown. Serve with warm pizza sauce for dipping.

Soooo good. Yum! I did have trouble with the bottom part darkening/burning before the top half so I would flip it halfway through next time.

So good! Used marinara as a dipping sauce and we ate it up!

If I make this again I'm gonna put marinara sauce in them instead of having it as a dipping sauce. And I may switch it to mozzarella cheese instead.
Overall pretty good.
