We have had the Instant Pot sitting in a corner for a while and I decided to experiment because I had never personally used it. The reviews seemed good and I was optimistic. I did tweak it a bit and I must say of all the dishes I prepared in the last 9 months or so, this was DEFINITELY the most flavorful. I printed and it will be a sure REDO within a couple of weeks and will set in the planner for a repeat at least a couple more times while the weather is cold. Definite comfort food for cold weather.

Best instant pot meal yet! Used no sodium ingredients, cubed slightly smaller chunks of meat and served over top of a shredded mozzarella (like Panera French onion soup). Those that say meat was tough, that’s on them. Look at your cut of meat and slice against the grain. All steaks have a grain and if you cut against it, will maximize tenderness regardless of how it’s prepared (also a game changer for jerky success)

I made it on the stove as I don’t have an Instant Pot and let it simmer all day. Before simmering , I seared and seasoned meat in a bit of oil, in flour Lawrys and McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning. I also added shredded carrots for some color.

awlful, salty, tasteless. was like drinking beef broth directly.
used the left overs with mushrooms cooked down in butter and a can if mushroom soup.
suddenly it became magical, silky smooth and creamy.
will do this next time. as now l will cook this again.

Really easy and tons of flavor!

It was ok... not very flavorful. I did add carrots like another person suggested which made it a bit more stew like. I don’t think I’ll make it again

Delicious! I just used a pack of stew meat and organic french onion dip dry mix and it came out great!

The only change I made was using low sodium chicken broth because I already had it on hand and I used 2 packages of onion soup mix for extra flavor. The meat was fall apart tender and the broth was very rich tasting for only a 20 minute cook time. I think next time, I'll add some carrots to it to bulk it up a bit.
