- 32 oz. chicken broth (cartoon of, equals 4 cups)
- sauce (Hot and Sour, recipe below)
- 1/2 firm tofu (slab of organic, drain and press the extra liquid out of the tofu then cut into thin strips)
- 5 oz. pork (lean, sliced into thin strips, marinate in 1tsp of soy sauce and 1tsp of cornstarch for 2 hours)
- 1 Tbsp. ginger (grated)
- 1 Tbsp. garlic (grated)
- 1 bunch scallions (divided, green tops and white bottoms separated)
- 1/2 cup bamboo shoots (thinly sliced into strips)
- 1/2 cup button mushrooms (canned sliced)
- 1 Tbsp. cornstarch (mixed with 4 Tbs of water)
- 1 egg (beaten)
- water (if needed)
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce (adjusted if needed)
- 2 Tbsp. rice wine vinegar (adjusted if needed)
- 1 Tbsp. cider vinegar (adjusted if needed)
- 1 Tbsp. sesame oil (use full amount here)
- 2 Tbsp. Thai chili garlic sauce (or chili sambal-such as Sambal Oelek, adjusted if needed)
- 1 tsp. brown sugar
