- 1 1/2 lb. skinless boneless chicken thighs (cut into 1-inch cubes)
- 4 oz. frozen okra (sliced, or more to taste, 1/2-inch slices)
- 1/4 cup Italian parsley (chopped)
- 1/4 cup green onions (minced)
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce (or more to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. Cajun seasoning (Creole/, such as Emeril’s Essence)
- 1/2 Tbsp. file powder
- 1 Tbsp. shrimp (liquid or powdered, /crab boil, such as Cajun’s Choice)
- 1 tsp. dried mustard
- 1 1/2 lb. peeled, deveined medium shrimp

This recipe is near perfection! My favorite flavors together in one meal. I love it. Totally worth all the prep.

I used double the flour and oil, next time I will only use 3/4. Added 2 cup chicken stock and 2 cups fish stock, I just cannot to the other fishy stuff. Used one green, one red and one yellow bell pepper. Also used cuisenart to chop, family likes is small.
Used smoked and spicy beef sausage instead of Cajun sausage. Did not add okra, no one likes it at my house.

This recipe is excellent! It has become a family favorite. Although there are many ingredients it is fairly simple to make. We serve it over rice and it is delicious!

Amazing! All my dinner guests raved about it and my husband said that it was the best thing I had ever cooked in 20 years and I'm a good cook! It's a lot of preparation but well worth the results!
