- 3/4 tsp. turmeric
- 1 tsp. ground cloves
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp. garam masala
- 6 chicken leg quarters (cut into drumsticks and thighs)
- 1 cucumber (sliced)
- 1 medium red onion (sliced)
- cilantro (for garnish, you can also use parsley)
- 3 cups basmati rice (dry)
- 3 Tbsp. oil (butter, or ghee)
- 3 tsp. cumin seed
- 6 cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 tsp. salt (or salt to taste)
