I love French Toast! I followed this recipe using a bakery cinnamon raisin bread, not thick slice Texas Toast. There were 16 slices of cinnamon raisin bread in the loaf that soaked up all the custard. Perfect breakfast!

I had never made french toast before, and this was the best we've ever tasted 😳 I halved the recipe and it made 6 pieces of bread-- literally just basic whole wheat bread, so I can't even imagine how good it would be with a more french-toasty bread
p.s. no, you don't actually need to bake it (I didn't) even though the recipe insists

Excellent, really nice flavor. I didn’t bake it and it was still wonderful. I will definitely be making it again.

Delicious. I used white bread because that’s what I had and I added cinnamon sugar on top.

This is fast and simple to make, but absolutely delicious. I have had to guess some measurements at times as I didnt have the right equipment and I have also made then without the nutmeg, but it turned out fantastic everytime. We have eaten them with berries, banana, honey and syrup. Hits the spot everytime! Will try to freeze them if there are ever any left over!

I really enjoyed making this it was simple enough to follow and it tasted great.. however I wish three directions were not so bunched together and was written like normal recipes and not a blog. My partner rated it a 9/10.. I added some fruits, icing sugar and a bit of honey... I would recommend for anyone to try french toast

The recipe was great. The second step, putting it in the oven really makes a difference. Will definitely keep in rotation. My daughter enjoyed it so much she may make it for her dinner.

Absolutely delish!!! Stuck to the recipe!

Turned out amazing!!! Even blended sugar to make powdered sugar! If you want them to be chewy in the middle, then let them soak for a few more seconds than required. If not, only dip them.
