    i made a few changes but it came out great. my husband hates onions and i didn't have any mushrooms. i cooked the potatoes and carrots in the instapot while i did the ground meet with other veggies i put corn and green beans, tomato paste, spices, and beef broth with flour. I then put in deep casserole dish. First went the ground meat and vegetables, then sprinkled cheese on top the placed the mashed potatoes on top. I baked for 20 minutes at 430 degrees. turned out well.

    This is so easy and tastes so good. I added a few things to mine like a tsp of garlic to the mushrooms. Then I added 1/4 cup of cheddar cheese to the potatoes. I put mine in mini loaf pans so everyone gets their own personal pie. I can also freeze the others for a night i don't feel like cooking.

    All of the pieces were there it was just missing some kind of flavour. Maybe it was the missing garlic?

    I've loved shepherd's pie since I was a child in England. But this is not shepherd's pie - it's cottage pie. A shepherd implies sheep, so shepherd's pie is made with ground lamb (which I prefer). When it's made with beef, it's cottage pie, though most of the rest is the same. It's a perfect winter dish in either case.

    Great flavor. Good way incorporate a lot of veggies, especially if you have little ones. A lot of prep, but tasted great and will make again!

    I gave this 3 stars because the video instructions almost drove me crazy. The pie itself needed a tad more flavor for me. Next time I’ll add more Worcestershire sauce. I didn’t add the mushrooms. Overall it was somewhat easy to make and I’ll definitely be doing it again with some changes.

    The definition of comfort food! I doubled the beef broth, tomato paste, and Worcestershire because 1 cup of liquid wasn’t enough. I also dissolved 2 T cornstarch in half & half (in place of flour) to thicken the sauce to gravy consistency at the end of cooking, before topping with potatoes. The consistency and flavor was perfect.
