Nice & smooth, not thick or soupy. i used 4 cups of lentils as i doubled the recipe plus cooked it in my Instant Pot, along with only 1 can of coconut milk. I've never had a recipe for dahl that added sugar. But i can see why. Without it, the taste was slightly bitter. Most Dahl's have some tomato in them, so i added a touch of paste.

Lovely recipe. But is it so difficult to have metric measures of ingredients? Cups of stuff makes no sense.

Incredible! I added curry paste instead of curry powder and it was delicious! Took more than 15 mins to cook though.

Tasted great, good consistency. Added it to plate with basmati rice and fish. I’ll make it again!

It was great! More like soup than I had expected, but I used canned lentils rather than dry like the recipe called for. I also didn’t have curry so I substituted garam masala. It turned out very nicely. Good flavors! I added rice noodles, as it was rather liquidy. If I were to do the recipe again with canned lentils, I would use only two cups of water rather than three. Next time I will try dry lentils and use three cups.

It’s soooooo good!!!! I added a couple of chopped up dates as a sweetener and it turned out amazing!!! This will definitely have a regular spot on our table!
