Amazing! This was my first time making lasagna that wasn't frozen and it was honestly better than my mom used to make (don't tell her I said that). To clarify for those like me who were confused: the recipe uses regular lasagna noodles but does not require boiling them first. I used hot italian sausage instead of ground beef. I think it would have been very bland otherwise. I also added diced onion and garlic, as well as italian seasoning in the sauce (not just on top). Other than that, I followed the recipe to a T and it was some of the best lasagna I've ever had.

Minus one star for the recipe not stating what kind of lasagna noodles to use. Since I had regular noodles and assumed that the recipe used no bake noodles, I pre-cooked mine. My sauce came out very soupy, but the noodles were a nice soft texture. Next time I’ll omit the water if I pre-cook the noodles, or I’ll try regular dry noodles or just slightly parboil them. I used Del Monte traditional spaghetti sauce plus a teaspoon of oregano. The overall flavor was slightly bland for lasagna, but the children at my house loved it.

Delicious but we like meat lovers lasagna, so we'll be adding more meat sauce and ricotta next time. otherwise added a little diced onions and garlic powder and it was great!

Turned out great, wished I had some spicy Italian sausage instead of just ground beef though...

Well, it's not 40 Mins. Only baking takes 45 Mins and resting another 15 Mins. Also preparation time.

Really good! I doubled the meat and it turned out fine! I did use a lot more cheese however and I still didn’t have enough! Will make again with some slight modifications!

Turned out great! Even though recipe did not specify, I think oven ready noodles were what was meant for it and what I used, worked perfectly! Did use an extra half pound of meat and half jar of sauce as others recommended.

The taste is amazing! I used ground turkey and fat free cheese. I didn’t use all the noodles and I still needed more sauce. Highly recommend for a quick lasagna.

The sauce measurement is not enough sauce for three layers of lasagna. I ran out by layer two and tried to save it so I hope it turns out okay. If you make this recipe use about another cup to two more cups of sauce. The ricotta cheese is enough for two layers, but no more than that. I used a 9×13 baking dish.

Great recipe and SUPER easy! My 12-yr old daughter loved it!! I would probably just add a little more sauce to the recipe in the future.

For non-dairy eaters, lasagna is virtually a no-go. Made this with sheep based ricotta and shredded goat cheese instead of mozzarella. Delicious and easy!!!
