My son was very skeptical this recipe would work. But we tried it based on the reviews. Everyone (5 people) agreed it was great. We cooked in a Dutch oven which kept the splatter contained. Skin was perfect, fat rendered out nicely, meat was not dry. Will try again for sure.

I have never had duck before. This was amazingly good. Very similar tasting to squirrel! The grandkids loved it too.

Great recipe in its simplicity. Could have rendered out more fat, so might let go a minute or two longer skin side down.

Excellent. The skin was crispy and golden, the tender flesh was the perfect pink. I accompanied mine with a fresh garden salad and roast garlic mashed potatoes.
