I did not melt the butter (I just used softened butter) so I did not need to refrigerate the dough. I added 1/4 tsp baking powder (I live at altitude and somehow that seems to help thicken cookies that otherwise tend toward flat). I rolled them gently into balls. And then after about eight minutes in the oven, I flattened them slightly with a spatula then put them back in the oven for 4 more minutes. They are delicious and they look good too!
