Delish! I seared the meat for about 3 minutes in Worcester and garlic which made the meat yummy I also added corn and used corn starch instead of flour for the thickener. I also recommend a few shakes of cayenne

This is my go-to when we have guests coming for dinner and I don’t want to spend time cooking. Family favorite!

Delicious! Easy to make in the crockpot and it’s very filling. I make this recipe at least four times each fall-winter. Thank you for sharing.

i generally make this stew every week or two. If you don't find the flavor to your liking, then modify it. This is not baking, so change at will. I always add more spices, either fresh rosemary or thyme in addition to the dried, and/or increase the dried. I also double or triple the celery or carrots, and add parsnip. I would also increase the garlic but then my family complains.

This recipe was lacking serious flavour. My family and I were dissatisfied about this recipe and I don't think I will be making this again.

Amazing 😉 I made a double batch and it only lasted for one meal

Unfortunately I was less than excited about this recipe's outcome. I like robust and flavorful recipes that reach all corners of the tongue's palette and this one did not do it. The flavor is very 'forward', meaning it hits the front of the tongue and produces more of a vinegar/sour taste when cooked. If your palette enjoys that type of flavor then this is the recipe for you.

Tastes great! I added my own little rub second time around and still yummy

Have made this a few times, super easy and tastes great. I didn’t make any modifications.

It tasted amazing. I modified it a little and added some spices.

This is the best beef stew recipe that I've tried so far. I modified it a little bit to make it more flavorful. For instance, I sautéed onion first. Then, added some garlic. And, continuing I added seasoned beef cubes to brown them for a few minutes. This whole mixture, I then put to the Crock-Pot together with the remaining ingredients. Lastly, I reduced the amount of liquid to 14 fl oz (ca. 414 ml) to avoid adding the flour mixture. The dish came out delicious. Simply amazing. Well-bodied. Full of flavor. Healthy.

It doesn’t take 1 hour as stated, so now I’m behind schedule

Delicious stew, I did marinate the meat the night before and browned it prior to putting into the crock pot. Instead of cutting up larger white potatoes I purchased a small bag of miniatures.

It turned out really tasty! Even better the next day. So good on a cold January day! Yum😋

Delicious!! My family loved it! So easy to make. Will make it again and again!

Substituted potatoes and some peas for the mushrooms. Yields a good amount of food, enough for leftovers. Additionally, the picture included in this recipe is pretty accurate. My mom and the rest of her children likewise loved it.

Very good classic beef stew. Proportions were perfect. Great dish on a rainy afternoon.

I put some red wine in it too. But other than that not much change.

Turned out great...my go to recipe!

This stew turned out great! Beef was tender and delicious at just 3.5 hrs on high in the crock pot. I definitely had to add a bit more of the seasonings to get it flavourful but overall was a super simple yet effective meal!

We really enjoyed this meal! Great to come home to delicious smells! Did not add the peas (apparently ate them earlier-or my husband HID them), and put some chives on top for color.
