Description
The rich, satiny baked custards called crème brûlée never fail to please. Pull out your kitchen blow torch to create the signature crackly layer of caramelize sugar on top. The recipe is a Yummly original.

- 6 large egg yolks
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar (for the egg mixture)
- 1 vanilla bean
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 1 tsp. granulated sugar (for sprinkling on top at the end)

Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Put egg yolks into a large, heatproof bowl. Add the first portion of sugar and whisk until combined. Pour heavy cream into a medium saucepan
- Cut vanilla bean in half. Using the tip of a knife, scrape out seeds. Drop vanilla seeds into heavy cream and whisk to combine.

great recipe!! just a tip: if you don't have a blowtorch, you can make an ice bath and put the ramekins inside when you broil them to caramelize the sugar!
