Never cooked bone in chicken before so was worried about the turn out... this recipe turned out fantastic! I used bacon grease to fry the chicken at the start and used tony chachere's with onion and garlic powder for the seasoning with the flour... then used a self basting roasting pan for the oven since I didn't have an oven safe skillet or Dutch oven... the flavor was amazing and the chicken was fall off the bone tender!

This dish was pure heaven! So delicious! I made it twice so far in the past few weeks. I
also didn’t cook the chicken in the oven as long as the recipe said. I kept the oven at 425 degrees, but baked the chicken for 30 mins. tops. I definitely want to try this recipe with pork chops also. We had this over white rice and a vegetable side.

Perfect as advertised. This is my second time cooking it, and the family loves it!

it was good just use more flour or it will be thin!

This was really good and was simple! I used an iron skillet and underestimated how hot iron gets so burnt the skins on the thighs a bit. Scraped off the burned bit and it still tasted great! The sauce is rich and creamy and goes great over rice! I'll definitely be making this again!

Very good. Not difficult to make.

It’s delicious! Definitely making it again. I added more seasoning to the chicken ( onion powder, cumin, nutmeg, basil, coriander, ginger) and used corn starch instead of flour to make it gluten free. I thickened the sauce more after the chicken was cooked and took 45 mins in the oven.

It was very good, just took a while longer than I anticipated so we ended up eating quite late.

Very good!! Will Definitely make this one again. Rich and flavorful

Loved this recipe! I agree that one hour is too long to cook the chicken, 45 minutes is perfect. The sauce was on the thin side so I added two tablespoons of the seasoned flour. This recipe makes a LOT of sauce (cook at least 6 chicken thighs next time) Loved the flavor! I will definitely make this again!

This was really good, an hour was too long for me since the sauce was almost all gone when I went to take it out. And it really didn’t need that much flour (I had 6 thighs) I’ll probably do 1 cup and half a tablespoon of the spice mix so I don’t need to waste so much after the chicken is coated. Will make again

Great taste and filling! I put it over egg noodles. Will definitely make again.

I doubled it, because I had more chicken. I don’t reccomend doubling the sauce as it doesn’t come out as the recipie intends if you do

Delicious recipe for chicken thighs. The only change I made was to substitute light cream for the heavy cream. I would definitely make again!

I had to accommodate a little, as I ran out of cream, but it was definitely delicious! The instructions could use a little specifying as I had to go searching through the comments to find out how to prepare the onions and garlic for cooking. Also, I used garlic powder, and I’m a small town girl, so if the garlic she describes in the recipe exists, I’m sorry. But it definitely was very yummy!

Juicy and full of flavor I absolutely love this easy recipe!

I didn’t have limes so used lemon and added siracha instead of red chili peps didn’t have that either. Still came out yummy

I didn't have bone in chicken thighs so I used boneless. I cut the bake time down to 30 mins and I also added some cornstarch to thicken sauce after it was done cooking. We all loved it, it turned out great!!

Great easy recipe. We’re dairy free, so I subbed the cream with full fat coconut milk and it was on point. Left out the chili powder and red peppers, for the toddler. And only used one cup of the chicken broth, per what others suggested.

Delish and easy will make again

A great recipe! It definitely had too much flour indicated, I would maybe 1/4 of what was recommended, since you dont need that much to coat the chicken or for the sauce. I would also use maybe half of the chicken broth recommended, since it did turn out a little bit soupy. But the spices were great and it was sooooo well done, you could pull it apart so easily.

Very good! Family loved it. The only thing I would do different next time is put one cup of broth instead of two. It was a little more soupy instead of gravy-like but otherwise great tasting recipe.

Mmmmm....so yummy!! I used boneless/skinless chicken thighs and added a little thyme and extra chili peppers. Instead of putting it in the oven, I simmered on the stove for 40 min. The whole fam loved it!!😋

BOMB
Used chicken breast instead

Good! I somehow missed the part about coating the chicken in flour but they were still fine. I added mushrooms to the sauce and made everything in a Dutch oven, which also took about an hour to cook.

DELICIOUS!!! I doubled the recipe. Was a hit with the husband & the toddler! Definitely adding this to the returning recipes folder!

So moist! I would definitely make these again. Very tasty. They are a little work, but so worth it. My sauce came out thin, but it still tasted good. Going into my favorites.
