I really like these bagels! I dont think I've ever had a bagel before, so now I know I like 'em! The instructions were a little hard and they took soooooo long. Like 3-4 hours the first day, rest overnight and about 3 hours the next day. I also changed 2 things; I quartered the recipe (to make 10) and used all purpose flour instead of bread flour. When I was forming the bagels, the dough was pretty dry and hard to mold, so I wet my hands before dealing with each bagel and it made it much easier! They looked pretty small, even after the second rise, but once they started boiling, they got bigger. I baked them for 15 minutes and they are a little bit chewy but its kinda nice. They are really good with cream cheese. My brother just had a plain one and then went back for another because he likes them so much. I will make these again next time I have a free weekend or a couple of days.

These bagels were amazing! I had my doubts that they would turn out as good as they look in your picture, but they did... these are better than anything I've ever bought, I'll be making this recipe again and again-: Thank you so much for a wonderful recipe!
