Description
Thick slices of buttery brioche bread are dipped in a rich custard mixture made with half-and-half and spices. Then they’re toasted with butter and a sprinkling of sugar until caramelized and golden brown. This French toast is tender and pillowy on the inside, crispy on the outside, and guaranteed to become a family favorite! To serve, top with fresh fruit and drizzle with maple syrup. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Dude That Cookz.

Directions
- In a shallow bowl, whisk eggs and half-and-half to blend. Add 1 Tbsp. sugar, the cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla, and whisk again until blended.
- Heat a large frying pan over medium heat, add 1 Tbsp. butter, and start the butter melting. (Reduce heat to medium-low if butter starts to brown before you’re ready to add French toast.)
- Whisk egg mixture to blend in the spices. Dip a brioche bread slice into the egg mixture on one side, then turn bread over and dip the other side. The egg mixture should coat the bread but be sure not to oversoak it, or it may break apart.
