Description
Welcome the holiday season with this celebratory rum punch, made with a festive balance of tangy, sweet, and refreshing fruit flavors and spice. Velvet Falernum, one of the key ingredients, is a liqueur sweetened with sugar cane and made with lime peel, almonds, and cloves. It’s sometimes used as a replacement for simple syrup and is a staple ingredient in a lot of tiki and swizzle drinks — so keep it in mind for other recipes! To keep the ice from diluting the punch too quickly, be sure to have all the ingredients chilled before you combine them. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Brittany Conerly.
Ingredients
- 3 cups dark rum (aged, such as Cruzan, chilled)
- 2 cups sparkling wine (such as Prosecco, chilled)
- 1 cup fresh squeezed lemon juice (chilled)
- 1 cup fresh pineapple (chopped, chilled)
- 1 cup pomegranate seeds (chilled)
- 3/4 cup liqueur (Velvet Falernum, chilled)
- 3/4 cup orange liqueur (such as Grand Marnier, chilled)
- 1 apples (unpeeled, cored and thinly sliced, chilled)
- 1 orange (sliced into thin half-rounds, chilled)
- 1 lemon (sliced into thin half-rounds, chilled)
- ice cubes
Directions
- In a large punch bowl or other large bowl, stir together all of the ingredients except ice. Fill bowl with ice cubes. Ladle punch into glasses, and enjoy.
