This was taken from a Betty Crocker Cookbook. Easily adjusted to fit your needs.
Ingredients

- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 onion (medium)
- 1 clove garlic
- 14.5 oz. diced tomatoes (undrained.)
- 8 oz. tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. chili powder
- 3/4 tsp. ground cumin
- salt

Directions
- Brown beef, onion, and garlic in 3qt sauce pan over medium heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally until beef is browned then drain.
- Stir in remaining ingredients except beans. Heat to boiling then reduce to simmer. Cover and continue simmering for 60 minutes.
- Once the 60 minutes are up, stir in the beans. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes uncovered, stirring occasionally until you reach your desired thickness.
- *** I like to throw in some fresh jalapeños for some heat and top it off with some sharp cheddar.

Very tasty even without beans.I thought it was really good but when my husband said he could the whole pot by himself I know it was.
