Chicken Skewers Caldoche-Style

These chicken skewers are seasoned in the style of French Caldoche. The bold flavors that make these skewers delicious are garlic, ketchup, and soy sauce which all come together to form a bold and flavor-packed marinade. Grilling these skewers adds an extra layer of flavor from the smoke. You can eat them right off the skewer, use them as the topping to a salad, or the filling for a wrap sandwich. Ingredients
- 4 chicken breasts
- 2 garlic cloves (crushed)
- 3 cups ketchup
- 3 Tbsp. black soy sauce
- 1 dash sunflower oil
- ground black pepper
Directions
- Cut the chicken into cubes and place in a bowl with garlic, ketchup, soy sauce, and a dash of oil. Mix well so that the chicken is covered with marinade. Cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
- Prick the chicken pieces on skewers, and keep the marinade. Cook the skewers on the barbecue preferably (otherwise, use the oven), turning, and basting them regularly.
