Description
Many of us remember the pinwheels we got at carnivals when we were little. Now you can make your own edible version with this recipe for Carnival Rosettes. Made from a batter of eggs, water, and flour, these rosettes are flavored with anise. Fried until golden and covered in powdered sugar, these tasty treats can be served for any special occasion. You will need a mold to shape the rosettes, or you can make them into any shape of your choosing.

Directions
- Whisk together the eggs and water, then add the flour, anise seeds, and the ground anise. Beat well.
- Heat the oil in a skillet and place the rosette mold in the oil until hot. Leave for 2 minutes before removing and dipping into the batter. Leave a section of the mold approximately 1 centimeter in width out of the batter.
- Place the mold and its contents into the skillet and fry until golden. Remove rosettes from mold and place onto a paper towel to absorb any excess grease.
- Sprinkle the rosettes with powdered sugar.
