We love this simple soup recipe and I’ve made it several times. The roasted squash really takes it to the next level and that tiny amount of cinnamon is delightful!

Very yummy and easy. I used two medium sized squashes and I had a little more than the recipe called for

A wonderful compliment to thanksgiving dinner

This was a good, simple recipe for butternut squash soup. The next time, I won’t put quite as much broth in to make it thicker. I toasted pumpkin seeds and enjoyed the crunchiness in the soup.

Very satisfying on a cold, dreary autumn day, and easy to make! Prepackaged cut-up butternut squash is a huge help.

me and my wifes favorite new soup. do tourself a favor, if you like the soup creamy put a nice amount of heavy cream in it, turns out very good. made this a couple if times and will be making it even more times in the future.

Winner. Hardest part was peeling/cutting the skin off the squash. Used a super sharp knife instead of a peeler. Also used a cookie scoop to get out the inner webs/seeds...perfect. Needed a few tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken. Super good, addictive flavor.

I made my own vegetable broth and used garden fresh squash. I toasted the seeds from the butternut squash to use as garnish.

Another one the family loves!!!
I added some sage & it was perfect!
Roasting the butternut squash is key.
Also added some nice farm fresh heavy cream.

It turned out amazing.

It was ok but I wish I had just eaten the roasted butternut squash plain. It took longer because the recipe didn't include how to make the roasted squash but there was another link for that. I didn't realize I would need to blend it and that sounded kinda gross so I didn't want to do that.

This was really good. I accidentally used some chicken broth instead of stock but it still turned out Ok.

This turned out very delicious. Made as described and it was very good. Added just a pinch of nutmeg, all spice, and cayenne pepper for personal preference. Thanks for Recipe.

Turned out great I roasted the squash with a little bit of orange pepper & carrot for a nutritional boost, in the air fryer much quicker than in the oven. I also just added some crushed red pepper at the end to give it a zing will make again!

i made this today. i roasted the squash as suggested. easy to do.
Found the soup tasty, but not sweet like butternut soups I have had a restaurants. maybe because no apple or sugar base added. thought of adding applesauce when blending. not sure if it would work.
I did add Davids pumpkin pepitas which gave a nice crunch with no extra work

Great recipe! Left out the cinnamon because of a picky eater, and it was awesome still. Didn’t have heavy cream but evaporated milk worked fine.
