This was a great recipe. I added a package of onion soup mix and a can of fire roasted tomatoes. I didn't add the peas before my husband hates them

Overall an easy and good tasting stew. I added chili powder, a bit more worcestershire sauce and tomato paste(not sure if it was supposed to be paste or sauce to begin with.

This is my go to recipe for stew. I use tomato sauce as listed in the ingredients list & a Tbsp or two of tomato paste. I also added beans too. It’s got great flavour.

Tonight I have to try this, look very delicious.

Very bland, not much taste at all. Definitely not the best ever slow cooker beef stew

Was good but thought the Italian seasoning was an odd thing to put in a stew I ended up scooping half out I used fresh green beans, carrots, golden potatoes but will throw in different things next time like bell peppers

Terrific !! Would make again !! Used a full 32 oz carton of beef broth and used tomato sauce as indicated in ingredients (in directions it calls for tomato paste

It turned out great! I added 1/4 cup of sweet baby rays hickory and brown bbq sauce, instead of tomato. I also used cornflour instead of plain. Hubby and the children loved it.

Really tasty. I'll definitely be making this again. I made it a bit late so it only had 5-6 hours to cook, I took the veggies out to cook them in the microwave then added them back for the final hour but it didn't effect the flavour in any way. It gave the meat a chance to cook better too so it was very tender. So easy and hassle free!

This is by far a family favorite—the kids ask me to make it all the time!! Awesome flavor, and it’s super easy to throw together. I use canned green beans instead of peas. It’s great!

Added different veg and a bit of cornflour to thicken it a bit more but was really tasty

Excellent. Added more beef broth, some chilli, red capsicum, Swede, beans, and turnip

Great and I will make it again

i used more seasonings than the recipe called for but it turned out good.
Yummly User 4 years ago
Add more seasoning as you would like along the way. Would have been slightly bland if not.

Smelled great and the beef was tender, it just didn’t have much actual flavor to it.

Delicious! My picky husband and two young boys gobbled it up. I doubled the flour to make the broth extra thick and subbed 1 cup of the frozen peas with green beans. I cooked the beef, onions, and garlic for 9.5 hrs on low and then added all the other veggies at 6 hrs to keep them from getting too mushy. Definitely adding this one to my slow cooker rotation!

Great! 2 adults and 2 kids all loved it. We made it as stated.

great flavor. i used chalula hot sauce and soy sauce instead of Worcestershire sauce since my son can't eat it. baby red potatoes were perfectly done. best beef stew I've had!

This was really good! Very easy recipe. I added an extra cup of beef broth, less beef and more peas and instead of dicing the onions I made them kinda chunky (I love onions in stew) everyone loved it! It has a good flavor to it. Great for an easy meal.

Perfect cozy dinner. I didn’t have beef stock on hand so I substituted with chicken broth... nonetheless it was still very tasty!

Made this in the pressure cooker and left out the flour (for my gluten free parents). Turned out fantastic and I’ve frozen some in preparation for those long college nights so I can pop it into the microwave.
