This stew recipe turned out great. My fiancé at almost the entire pot! I only got one bowl. He said he couldn't help it, it was too good. I boiled the potatoes and carrots beforehand, though, until they were almost soft. I aldo used flour instead of the cornstarch slurry, and I added kinced garlic cloves while searing the meat and onions. Delicious! We served the stew with Cheddar Bay biscuits.

Loved it! I prep the night before and make it after work. Doesn't need to cook all day and it comes out so tender.

Loved it, tasted great. The only thing I added was a few Serrano peppers for a kick.

Just right! It was delicious. I used 1/4 the onions and added fresh garlic when browning the stew meat.

Very good. I did use 1T. of smoked paprika I got in Hungary. This recipe tasted like Mom’s

it's a great base! I added a dash of thyme, bay leaf, and celery salt along with worcestershire sauce and it turned out quite nice!

Yummly. I used frozen celery, onions and carrots from my garden and potatoes that I canned from my garden last summer. I’m sure it would be even better if they were all fresh. I’ll be making it again. Nice and easy. Great for winter.

Added green beans instead of peas. Get a good piece of crusty bread and dip it in the soup, delicious!

Great easy recipe! Added thyme as well and doubled the slurry. I also add a dollop of sour cream in at the end

I've made this recipe many times over the past 2 years and have noticed some differences each time. I generally add 1-2 veggie bouillon, which adds some flavor. I tried bite-sized potatoes this round so that I didn't have to cut them up, but it wasn't as tasty. Also, the biggest difference is that my dutch oven chipped, so I used a regular pot tonight. I actually do taste a big difference in how chewy the meat is compared to the dutch oven tender bites!

It was kind of bland, I don't think I'd make it again.
im not a good enough cook to know what spices to add to improve the taste.

I loved this recipe and will add it to our lineup! The hubs considers soups and stews to be an addition to a meal so he made his serving more hearty by adding in some sticky rice. I added a few bay leaves. Next time, I may add a little a little beef stock concentrate and dollop of tomato paste to make it a bit more robust. I was very happy with how it tasted overall! Enjoy!

I have made this twice for two different groups of people and gotten rave reviews each time. This is stick to your ribs, lick the bowl clean good.

Excellent! I used sirloin steak instead of stew beef because that’s what I had. Used dry split peas and parsnips in addition to the other veggies. Will make again! This made enough to freeze for another meal.

This was amazing! The best beef stew I ever made. It was a HUGE hit with my family. They all said it was the best beef stew i ever made. I did add a pinch of thyme, but that is the only thing I added. Great recipe!

Delicious. I haven’t heated the pan properly before adding olive oil, the effect was fussy. But also other recipe doesn’t require mixing the beef with flour (and garlic), asking for s&p only. I used a bit of Merlot. Cut the celery in blender. Added the potatoes a bit later. Served with good bread.

Yummy and I froze leftovers and they were good too! My meat was a little tough but I prob didn’t let it cook long enough.
