The best stew beef recipe. I cook it in my instant pot, high pressure 40 mins. Always tender.

Came out so good! I didn't use celery and my husband hates onions so I chopped them really small so they basically disentegrated by the time it was done cooking. I also used baby carrots and used the little creamer potatoes instead. And ended up using about 30oz beef broth instead of the 14.5oz.

It turned out great My family loved it however I cooked it longer than an hour and a half to make it more tender it was served with a bed of rice

This was a really good beef stew recipe! The only thing I changed was I doubled the beef broth and added a cup of frozen peas. My kids demolished it. 😁

This was delicious! I loved the chunky veggies. My boyfriend and son loved it! I didn't change anything. I will definitely make it again!

Really yummy! I only had to add a little water but it didn't effect the flavor much.

it was delicious! I had to add at least 4 more cups of water/stock after I added all the veggies. i also added Worcester sauce and garlic! Delish and plenty of leftovers 😋

One comment stated that they used coconut flour and the flavor was off. Try a little cornstarch next time to avoid the flour. As far as liquid being too little of an amount, add a quart of water or a combo of water and another can of broth to measure a quart, and that will be more than enough. Also, you can add this additional liquid when you add your vegetables to just cover them. As far as the vegetables not being cooked, I’ve found that if I microwave root vegetables for about 2 minutes before adding them to soups and stew, they come out perfect. Hope some of this is helpful. I love this recipe. My husband tries to get me to make it every week!

the flavor was good but 2 1/2 hours is not enough time to fully cook everything.
Yummly User 3 years ago
made it but you need way more broth then it suggests

tastes great. I will be making it again.

it was good. but, flavor was an little off. this could have been because i used coconut flower instead of regular flour due to wife's food allergy.

Make half recipe next time. Takes more like two hours

Really good simple recipe. I enjoyed the ease of it. I didn’t have to watch it every second, which was nice. The meat cooking first made it very very tender by the time it came to serving the stew. Took the advice of others and added a cup or two more fluid when I added the vegetables. Then I did make a flour slurry to thicken the gravy. And added a little season salt and cayenne to spice it slightly. This recipe will be added to my recipe box for future cold winter night dinners. Love it.

great. I used a little Red wine

it's good i did modify it. i added peas and more carrots and potatoes but less onions and the rest of my flour that was left i made it into a slur to thicken the soup

Turned out great. Really easy to follow and hard to mess up.

Very yummy. I did 2 onions instead of 4 just because of the size of my pan. Id recommend 3 or 4 onions if you can fit them. Id definitely make this again.

Very good. Even my picky sister liked it and that's saying something. Will make again.
