- 6 cloves garlic
- 2 tsp. salt
- black pepper (to taste)
- 1 Tbsp. butter (softened)
- 1 Tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 onion
- 1 handful fresh parsley
- 3 sprigs fresh thyme
- 1/2 lemon

Directions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F.
- Line a rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and position a roasting rack in the pan.
- Remove and discard the giblets from the cavity of the chicken.

Yummly employee here; tested this recipe at home tonight. Easy, foolproof, and the chicken came out nice and golden brown with crispy skin. Nice when you want a straightforward classic roast chicken, and most of the time is hands off. Will make again!

It was okay, when both the timers were done it was still pink inside which was unconvent. I got a smaller chicken then the one recommended.

Really quite good. Used fresh orange, lemon pepper, and basil, instead of lemon, pepper, and thyme, and it still turned out well.
