It tasted great it says to refrigerate but it made it way to hard to bite so I wouldn’t at all next time but it was yummy!

This recipe is full proof and delicious - thank you! I susbstitute Gluten Free Rolled Oats and mix in dried cherries, flaxseed and coconut chips. Great for a pre-workout snack!

Great, simple, and quick base granola bar receipe. After making the first time, I started experimenting with sweeteners (my family isn't really fond of honey, so we use molasses and agave sweetners). You can add all sorts of extra fruits, nuts and grains.
I added amaranth pops to hike up the protein content and also grated confectionary white chocolate for a topping. Rather than just oats, I also used spelt, rye, and barley flakes, which makes the bars a bit more hearty for those long hikes.
It is really important to smash down the mixture, otherwise some crumbling may occur.
I'm still working on making them harder so they survive the hikes and bike tours a bit better - I'll probably hike up the temperature on the wet mixture. Great receipe ... will be a staple for our household.

Made this base recipe and it was amazing!!
I added in some rice crispies and choc chips... And used almonds instead of nuts... A huuuge hit!!
I only wish that the measurements were in cups and not grams as it took me a while to google substitutes as i dont have a scale!
