The idea was great, the execution was not. The oatmeal was very flavorful, but instead of layering it, it needed to have been all mixed together before baking. The liquid all sunk to the bottom and surrounded the already-juicy fruit so the oats just toasted on top and didn't soften at all. I realized this after baking, so I just stirred it around to redistribute the liquid and mix the fruit in with the oats, the apples were still crunchy so they would provide additional moisture the oats could soak up, and then I baked it at 350 for 20 minutes.

I never thought to bake oatmeal before but I really liked it. I ate it for several days so it was a quick and convenient breakfast. My apples were a little crunchy so I should have baked it longer. Would like to make again with different fruit combinations.
