If adding bacon to chocolate chip cookies is wrong, we don't want to be right. The recipe is a Yummly original created by Sara Mellas.

- 5 strips bacon
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (packed)
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1 large egg
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp. corn starch
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp. salt (scant)
- 6 oz. chocolate chips (1 scant cup, or chunks)

Directions
- Place two sheets of paper towels on a large plate, and set aside.
- Set a large skillet over medium-high heat. Arrange the bacon strips in the skillet and fry until brown and crisp, about 6-8 minutes, flipping once.
- Transfer the bacon strips to the paper towel-lined plate and allow to cool for 2-3 minutes. Once cool enough to handle, crumble the bacon into small pieces and set aside.

I made this exactly as the recipe calls. It was delicious. I used very good bacon and cooked it crispy. I’m addicted to these!

Cookies came out awesome, although I don't taste the bacon. You definitely know there are bacon bits though. Maybe I needed to use saltier bacon. Still, the cookies and darn good.

Was great!... I added a couple extra slices of bacon, drizzled about 2 tbsp bacon grease into batter and added a pretzel garnish. on top. My guests were very very happy

they turned out wonderful. i used maple bacon jerky and just cut it into little pieces. the hint of maple added the right touch.

i could barely taste the bacon but thats probley because my family only put like 1 strip of bacon but it was still good
