Wow! I’ve made this type of apple dessert before, but never thought to add sugar and cinnamon to the apples prior to. This really is like a big beautiful apple pie but without the crust on the bottom- which I don’t think anyone missed, lol.
The only thing I did differently was I added about a cup of oats and a half a stick more butter- oh yeah and almost a whole teaspoon of salt instead of a half. I think the sweetness of the sugary apples is really complimented by the saltiness of the crumble- but that’s just my preference.
My family loved this dessert, thank you!
