Directions
- Generously season the chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside.
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Immediately add the pork chops and cook until brown, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- Return the skillet to medium-high heat and melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Immediately add the apples and onion and cook, stirring occasionally, until the onion is translucent, about 5 minutes. Stir in the brown sugar, cinnamon and cayenne. Stir in the apple cider and cream. Add the pork chops, nestling them into the liquid, and cook until the internal temperature of the pork reaches between 145 degrees F. (medium rare) and 160 degrees F. (medium), 3 to 4 minutes per side.
- Serve the chops with the apple mixture spooned on top.

I listened to the recommendation below:
Using chicken tenderloins and a 15min warm water/salt brine. I did double the cayenne but might even do more next time. Next time I will chop the apples up into smaller bits. I did add garlic powder may use real garlic next time. I also swapped the ratio. 2 parts cream to 1 part apple cider (I did not read Vinegar...But might try that next time).

3 stars, but has the potential to be an epic quick dish. swapped chicken tenderloins for the pork, and they work well if you do the a 15min warm water/salt brine. the flavor profile in this dish is fantastic. brown sugar, cinnamon, onion, nearly caramelized fruit (I did one pear and 1 apple), all work amazingly well together. When I make it the next time, I'll double the cayenne and may stir in some garlic and savory. where it loses 2 stars is the apple cider vinegar to cream ratio. The next time, I'll swap the ratio. 2 parts cream to 1 part vinegar or maybe 50/50. It adds pizazz, but the slight bitterness overpowers all the other flavors in the dish. Soften that some, and it will be off the hook!

We didn't care for this dish. The taste was just not that appealing.
The cut of meat I used got too dry which added to our not liking the meal. It wasn't gross or terrible - but I probably wouldn't try this again.

I added 2 bags of frozen organic sweet potatoes to it. found the apple cider vinegar over powering so I added 2/3 heavy cream instead of 1/3. Also made with 3 Tbsp of brown sugar instead of just 2Tbs

turned out great, i substituted heavy cream for 1%milk, and used apple juice and a cinnamon stick instead of cider. came out a little thin so used a cornstarch slurry but the flavor was amazing.
