The base of this recipe is good, but it needs some modifications. Like others have mentioned, it needs more liquid. I used 1/3 Cup melted unsalted butter. Also added 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar. You also have to mash down the batter. It came out nice and firm though.

The liquid was insufficient to make a smooth batter as indicated. I added double the liquid

Didn’t rise for me. Maybe I did something wrong but it didn’t look anything like the pic at the end
