The best creamy chocolate icing I’ve ever made. So easy to spread

I’m not much of a cook, and this is the first time I can remember making frosting from “ scratch”. It was so easy and so much better tasting! I don’t think I’ll ever go back to the ready-made kind!
The only changes I made were using a whole stick of butter and half& half instead of milk.

Loved it!! It’s hard to please me when it comes to chocolate frosting but this is amazing!

Great recipe! If you don’t like bitter chocolate, change it from 3/4 cup cocoa powder to 1/2 cup. Otherwise, delicious! Will use again!

Delicious as always!!!!

So tasty. I used half a cup of cocoa powder instead of 3/4 cup for less bitterness.

It’s ok but tastes a bit more like dark chocolate than milk chocolate. If I make again I would slightly adjust for less bitterness.

Excellent, I would never buy icing in a can, but honestly icing in a can is fine. I prefer to make my own

Great recipe and so easy . I saw another one that called for 5 cups of confectioners sugar, this one was half that amount, much better!!

We had a little bit leftover. It was so good, we ate what was left in the mixing bowl.

Substituted the milk with heavy whipping cream and used a stick of butter. Came out rich and creamy. Nice and yummy frosting!

Only issue i had was it was a little thinner consistancy than i would've liked, otherwise it was delicious!

I found 6Tbs of butter to not be enough. I used a whole stick of butter because my kitchen aid was struggling because it was too dry. After adding the extra 2Tbs it was smoother. I used 1/3 cup of whipping cream instead of the whole milk and it was light and fluffy. My family loved it.

It turned out great! The recipe makes just enough to cover a 2 layer 8 inch cake. I would up the recipe a little next time as I like extra filling in the middle 😊
