Fabulous cookies! Followed the recipe and used powdered sugar instead of flour when rolling the dough. Creamed butter and sugar for 3 minutes. Cookies melted in my mouth! Will absolutely bake again.

My father was born in Scotland an never used a recipe but know that this recipe even just buy looking at it should have a little more flour. Like at least 2 1/2 cups to 3 cups.
Think if you try that it will work out better. Would also increase the power sugar slightly.

It was a bit of a bummer. There are good reviews, so it’s most likely my fault for the failure. When I tried to shape them, they were very greasy and sticky because I think there was too little flour or powdered sugar. Maybe both. I had more flour but decided it was enough, it might’ve been a tablespoon too short of flour. I’ve been short on powdered sugar so I got exactly half a cup. I put them in the oven for 16min but when I got them out, the once heart shaped shortbread was melty and sad. It was undercooked and very crumbly. It
was delicious taste wise. I found, I didn’t have
room temp butter so I tried to soften them via microwave which was my mistake. I’ll update my review when I make another batch.

They turn out perfect every time!

They turned out okay. I don’t eat a lot of this type of cookie so I can’t compare to others.

Melt in your mouth deliciousness. My family enjoyed these and want more. I did the recipe as stated and wouldn’t change a thing except maybe put in ground pecans.

Melt in your mouth yummy. I’m considering putting chopped toasted pecans and a pinch of salt in the next time I make them. VERY easy to make. The dough is easy to handle, no refrigeration needed. No real mess. I did use powdered sugar to roll them out with and they were amazing!

Very good! I reduced the amount of flour on my second batch to make them a little more melt-in-your mouth and I liked that better. I also added a pinch of salt to the second batch which made them a little less sweet. I will definitely make them again!

Amazing. My oven is inconsistent with heat so the second tray was a litlle more golden brown but still good :)

Delicious treat for kids! My daughter loved them.

They turned out great! The kids and I made them holiday shapes instead of circles. My huband said they were a little to sweet tho, i used powdered sugar to coat the rolling pin instead of flour.

It didn't. I never got the dough to the "soft" stage. It was all crumbs.
