I tried this recipe several times before writing my review. I am not a fan of the flavor with molasses, but I absolutely love it when I substitute the honey! I am more than impressed with the flavor, the ease of making, and the overall finished product!
I have just recently begun making fresh bread from ground wheat berries and this is by far my favorite recipe.
I am using the vitamix dry container to grind and used hard white wheat berries ground to whatever texture I prefer.
This is the best!

I used half whole wheat and half white bread flour. It was outstanding!

I have made this several times . When the lockdown happened I lost 6 pounds, once lifted I bought store bought again and gained. I am back to making which is so much better. I use honey I don’t have molasses.

Molasses added a nice brown color! I appreciate the simplicity of this recipe. I only used 3 1/2 cops of flour, because I let the water/butter/molasses mixture cook too long so I was short some of the liquid.

This bread is SO good. This was our first time making bread and it turned out amazing. The bread is soft and thick, it is almost like the texture of banana bread if you know what I mean :) The nice thing is that it really fills you up after two slices. Plus, it doesn’t have a bad whole-wheaty flavor. It is super easy to cut and there is minimal work involved. We will definitely be sticking with this bread recipe during quarantine!

Best whole wheat recipe I‘ve found so far. Didn’t have molasses so replaced it with date syrup. Turned out wonderful.
