When you work at Yummly, one thing is inevitable: You're going to get hungry. Fortunately, inspiration (and good food) is never far away. Whether whipping up lunch with coworkers in the Yummly kitchen or sharing treats brought in from home, Yummly employees don't stay hungry for very long. Here, our staffers share their latest and greatest recipe finds from the site.

Egg & Bacon Breakfast Pizzas

Yidi, Product Designer

Yidi knows that the key to a productive work day (or restorative weekend yoga retreat) is a healthy, filling breakfast. These cheesy breakfast pizzas use naan as the base for protein-rich eggs and bacon, which are topped with heart-healthy avocados and a sprinkling of cheese, tomatoes, and chives.

Parsnip Purée

Agnes, Product Manager, Data and Analytics

I'm pretty sure Agnes single-handedly converted the entire office into parsnip fans with her latest recipe discovery. She swaps out some of the milk with almond milk to reduce the dairy content, and recommends pairing it with your favorite meat dish. After hearing her rave about the recipe, I went home and made it along with this Salisbury Steak with Mushroom Gravy.

Creamy Spinach Sweet Potato Noodles with Cashew Sauce

Agnes, Product Manager, Data and Analytics

Another Agnes favorite, this popular recipe from Pinch of Yum has won over many of our readers in addition to the Yummly data team. A vegan powerhouse, this recipe is inexpensive, full of vegetables, and infinitely customizable. Be sure to read through the comments for ideas on how you can adjust the recipe to make it your own.

Balsamic Braised Short Ribs

Taimoor, Head of Community

Tai's favorite recipe would be a great match for Agnes's beloved parsnip puree. While these beef short ribs only take 30 minutes to prepare, you'll need several hours to let them braise to tender perfection, so save this recipe for a chilly winter weekend.

Too impatient? You could easily prepare this in an Instant Pot pressure cooker to speed things up: Using the sauté feature of a multicooker, follow the recipe as instructed through to the point where you would put the ribs in the oven to bake. Instead of using the oven, cook the ribs in the multicooker at high pressure for 50 minutes, then let the pressure release naturally for 15 minutes before opening the pot.

Easy Coconut Cake

Ruth, Head of Content

When we tested this cake recipe in the office, Ruth was hooked on the intense coconut flavor after one bite (think Mounds bar ... but cake). True to its name, the cake is easy to make and there's no frosting required. Crispy edges give way to an ooey-gooey center that provides all the moisture you need.

How To Make Steamed Mussels

Yuri, VP Engineering

If there's one thing I learned while writing this article, it's that I want to go to Yuri's house for dinner. Starting a meal with this easy recipe for stovetop mussels with shallots, garlic, and white wine will make sure you always have guests looking for an invitation to your house as well.

Grilled Ribeye Steak with Onion Blue Cheese Sauce

Yuri, VP Engineering

According to Yuri, these steaks are to die for. The unctuous blue cheese and onion sauce may be gilding the lily, but based on all the 5-star reviews this recipe has received, it's an indulgence worth trying. Besides, if there's a person who knows steaks, it's the Pioneer Woman. And Yuri. Yuri knows his steaks.

Tuscan Apple Cake

Yuri, VP Engineering

This easy apple cake recipe gets its caramelized bottom crust through an ingenious trick: the first 10 minutes of baking take place right on the oven floor! The sweetness of the final cake will vary depending on the type of apple you use. For a tarter cake, use granny smith apples; for a sweeter cake, try gala apples.

Homemade Cheez-Its

Rachel, SEO Content Specialist

There's no need to hide your love for Cheez-Its. But if you want to enjoy your favorite cracker without the processed ingredients (what is TBHQ, anyway?), you're going to have to make them yourself. You'll be happy to know that making crackers is nowhere near as complicated as you might think. This easy recipe uses just six ingredients (including salt and water) which come together to form a quick dough in just a few turns of the food processor. Chill, roll out, and cut, then bake for 13 minutes: Cracker heaven awaits!

Overnight Oats

Yaprak, Head Of Android

This quick overnight oats recipe has become a go-to to start Yaprak's day. Chia seeds add a delightful burst of texture to the soft oats, while almond milk and peanut butter add some protein to keep you satified through lunch. Take five minutes to stir the ingredients together in a mason jar with some maple syrup before you go to bed, and you've got a healthy breakfast that's ready to grab as you head out the door for work in the morning.

Italian Green Beans in Tomato Sauce

Yaprak, Head Of Android

A native of Turkey, Yaprak loves the classic tastes of the Mediterranean. When not snacking on cured olives, she opts for plenty of fresh vegetables with herbs. Here, green beans are simmered until tender in a quick sauce of tomatoes, onion, oregano, and fennel for a side dish that is both healthy and full of fresh flavors.

Moroccan Chicken Tagine With Chickpeas and Raisins or Apricots

Joanna, Marketing Production Specialist

Oh hey! Joanna, that's me! I could fill an entire post with all my favorite Yummly recipes, so to narrow it down, I decided to feature my newest favorite. I'm a sucker for anything that combines meat with dried fruit (Anyone else's family put raisins in their meatballs? Anyone?), so I was immediately tempted to give this chicken-and-raisin tagine a try. While the combination of stewed chicken, chickpeas, and golden raisins was as satisfying as I expected, what blew me away were the complex flavors of the spices in the thick tomato sauce. I'll be making this again and again, but next time, I'll make it with all chicken thighs, instead of a whole chicken, in order to speed up the prep time.

Kiara, Data Quality Editor

A favorite in Kiara's household, this chicken soup is family friendly on two fronts: easy to make and easy to eat! While the recipe calls for slow cooking on low for 8 hours, feel free to turn it up to high to cut the cook time in half.

Honey-Sriracha Grilled Chicken Thighs

Masiar, COO

In warm weather, you'll find Masiar out by the grill, relishing the California sunshine. This super simple grilled chicken recipe is a little spicy, a little sweet. A quick 15-minute marinade before grilling the chicken makes this a hands-off recipe that requires little effort.

Pasta No Carb-onara

Masiar, COO

Quinoa pasta makes a traditional pasta carbonara dish something that gluten-free eaters can enjoy at last. In Chef Richard Blais's version, chili flakes add a spicy punch to contrast with the creamy egg and parmesan sauce, while bits of bacon bring meaty depth to the dish.

Moroccan Merguez Ragout with Poached Eggs

Christine, Sr. Business Manager

This ragout is Christine's cold-weather fave. It's like shakshuka on steroids, featuring a smoky harissa-tomato sauce with eggs, but made spicier with the addition of Moroccan lamb sausage. The sauce is addictive, so you'll want a crusty loaf of bread on hand to sop up all the last traces from your plate.
